Mr. Chowdhury Golam Faruque, S/O. Shamsul Huda Chowdhury Rtd. Superintendent of Custom Excise & Vat. He obtained his B.Com (Hons.) & M. Com (Accounting) degree from University of Chittagong . He started his career in Insurance Sector with Eastern Insurance Company Ltd. a listed well reputed Company in the year 2 nd June, 1988 . He served with Meghna Insurance Company Ltd., Republic Insurance Co. Ltd. Islami Insurance Bangladesh Ltd. & Desh General Insurance Co. Ltd. in various Department. He worked as an In-charge of Underwriting, BCD, Admin & Company Secretary. He has more than 32 years experience in Insurance Industries.
He has successfully completed the following course of Bangladesh Insurance Academy :-
• BIA course no. 360/2 on Marine in March 1991 & stood 3 rd in order of Merit.
• BIA course no. BIA/GF/700/93 on Fire in October, 1993 & stood 1 st in order of merit.
• BIA course no. BIA/GF/867/94 on Fire in October 1994 & stood 2 nd in order of merit.
He completed the Training course of Islamic Insurance in the year 2004 & completed Training course on Company Meeting, Minutes & Return.
He obtained BIA-I from Bangladesh Insurance Academy and stood 1st in order of Merit and awarded Tyser holder in the year may -2014
BIA Diploma (General) Stood 3rd in order of Merit in the year October -2014 and awarded Tyser holder in the year October-2014
He joined in Northern Islami Insurance Ltd. on 6 th January 2009. At present he is working as Managing Director & CEO.
Mr. Sujit Kumar Dey,FCA Deputy Managing Director & CFO
Mr. Sujit Kumar Dey,FCA, S/O Mon Mohan Dey was born on 5 th January, 1968 in a respectable family at Rangunia Upazilla of Chittagong district. He completed his B.Com (Hon’s) and Masters in Accounting in 1988 and 1990 respectively from Chittagong University . He completed his Chartered Accountancy Course from a well reputed C.A. firm M/S Das Chowdhury Dutta & Co. in 1994 and thereafter he qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh ( ICAB ).He is also an Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh ( ICAB ).
He started his career in Sunman Group of Companies at Chittagong as an Audit Officer. He served in BRAC, a renowned NGO, as Manager- Audit and served in BRAC International as Manager Accounts. He also served in Pragati Life Insurance Ltd. as Head of Internal Audit and as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He has fifteen years working experience in Commercial Organization, NGO and Insurance sector. He has successfully completed Risk based audit training from Ernst and Young , Malaysia and completed Executive IT Course from BITI.
He has joined in Northern Islami Insurance Ltd. as Senior Executive Vice President (F & A) At present he is working as Deputy Managing Director & CFO
